Candidates must have previous software development experience with Ruby on Rails, and be well versed in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work with designers to architect Ruby on Rails applications
  • Produce design documents that guide team development
  • Design models for application logic
  • Implement agile processes and test-driven code development in real-world projects
  • Code application and maintain the code base with source control

Required Skills
  • Demonstrate at least 5 years of software development / coding experience.
  • 3-4+ years experience object-oriented business logic
  • Working knowledge of AJAX (XML, JSON)
  • Solid knowledge of at least one additional OO language required (Design pattern experience preferred)
  • Solid knowledge of relational data modeling and SQL
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Possess the ability to manage multiple projects / clients simultaneously
  • Be highly organized
  • BS preferred, but not required

Preference will be given to New York Tri State area applicants.
